A summer in Cincinnati, Ohio with one of the most prestigious amateur baseball teams (Midland Redskins) kick-started my post-secondary baseball adventures.

In 2006, pitching for the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the Northwoods League was a daily grind similar to that of professional baseball.

The last frontier certainly was not the first place I thought I would end up playing baseball, but the Alaskan Baseball League could possibly be the most unique baseball experience anyone could have.  My summer in 2007 with the Anchorage Bucs was unforgettable in so many ways.

Tucked away in the Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia, the Valley Baseball League is a hidden gem.  Living in a cabin on the Shenandoah River just outside of Luray made for an adventuresome summer where I was a part of the 2008 Valley Baseball League Champion Luray Wranglers.
